A gentle reminder: MPALC is a DEAD product. The bug you found
will NEVER be fixed. You will be way ahead to change over to
MPASM, it's free and can be found on the MCHIPBBS and most
all of the PIC ftp sites. MPASM is supported and has on-going
improvements.

DOS edit is fine, at least a couple of us asked about your
editor to make sure that the editor was not part of you problem.
