Jules shows permaculture in action

   By giving we all receive.

We've had hundreds visitors over these few years.

Here's what some have had to say:

Hi

I just wanted to share. I had the fantastic opportunity of visiting the path Project today. What fun !

It was raining which was refreshing in in of itself , however the pictures posted on this website don't do the Dervaes' "homestead" justice. I have never seen so many veggies and plants and trees in such a smallish space. They are grown with love and it shows. The lettuce looked fabulous and the oranges were huge !Their set up is an incredible, inspirational use of space I came home with a feeling that my own yard is a blank canvas and I have so much to do..lol but that is good..hahaha . It is truly a demonstration that even one family can make a big difference. I enjoyed talking to Jules Anais and Jordanne . We bend their ears about saving seeds and solar energy. In the rain even, Jules showed us his ladybug "nursery", and we met his bunnies (the kids enjoyed that). My family left filled with new ideas. Even my hubby who thinks I'm a loon is looking at our front yard wondering where we can put some apple trees..lol I have been I really been reminded that even gardening can be a journey and I want to try new things and enjoy the journey along the way. Every little effort to make things better do more than you think. I hope to be able to visit again in the spring on a clear day...

Thank you so much

Hi!

Thank you so much for the amazing tour yesterday--Tim and I had a blast and are totally inspired to expand our garden. You, your sister (my deepest apologies--I can't remember her name<:-O) and your dad are so full of wisdom and energy--we are in awe.

Thank you's--where do I begin? Thank you for all the great plant suggestions and info on tomatoes(as well as information about everything else!). I'm going to try and find seeds for the cotton and Mexican tarragon. Oh--by the way--here is the website to Bay Laurel. http://www.baylaurelnursery.com/
They are super nice. Let us know if you're interested in ordering, 'cause maybe we can combine our order.

Please thank your sister again for the chicken catalog. Her knowledge of animals is AMAZING and really has gotten me excited about the possibility of having ducks and chickens at home. Not to mention that both of you are a wiz on the computer!

Please thank your dad for the wealth of knowledge about everything--Tim says he will email some pics to him tomorrow. Tim was really excited by all the information he got about garden design and trellising. The solar oven was also really neat and we're looking forward to your workshops.

Thank you also for the wonderful carrot/orange juice and the pepino dulce. Yummy!

So many ideas my mind is still racing :-) Whew--was I able to cover it all? Thank you thank you!

Sincerely,

Denise & Tim

Thank you so much for spending time with me yesterday touring the garden.

I was so charged with ideas that I didn't get to bed until 12:30! I
planted the cotton and Indian Red Lettuce seed and put the soapwort cuttings in potting mix to root. Since I was already going, salad burnet and New Zealand Spinach got planted and I put some nasturtium seeds to soak (they will get planted tonight).

My friend across the alley in whose yard I'm gardening wants to see the garden as well. So, you may see me again soon.

Again, thanks for the tour. I'd love to do what you're doing in terms
of educating others about having freedom through home gardening.

Thank you so much for your time, hospitality and for sharing your wisdom!  Much happiness to your whole family.

Dear Jules,

Thank you so much for showing us around your beautiful garden.  All we need is a little space in Australia and we'll be following your lead.

Jules, the bee advice was great!

Hi!

It was an unexpected treat to meet you and to view the wonderful work you've done with your land!  I hope I may visit you again in the future and even lend a hand if you need it.  It's so reassuring to meet folks like yourself who are striving for right livelihood and sustainability.  Thanks again for the delicious water!

Kind regards,
