• An American Indian rug loom This is not totally authentic, but it incorporates the general design.
  • The weaver kneels before it Notice how it is held tight with a wrapping of thick rope. Very simple but effective.
  • Strong frame There is no real cross bracing needed. The rug itself prevents the frame from flexing side to side.
  • Horizontal poles attached with metal loops

    This allows the rope at the top to be quite thick without having to pass between the warp of the rug. This picture also shows how warp is seperated with the spreader and the shuttle is passed through.
